What should the ideal church look like? Despite the fact there isn’t such a thing, what would be the church’s core values? We would certainly have preachers with surprising and blessed
words. The musicians, sound, and instruments would be wonderful. Home groups, or house churches, would work perfectly. Membership would live in peace, holiness, prayer, and continual fellowship. Pastors would know what we need and would be available at all times. We would be taken care of in the smallest details, with the “advantage” of not having to take care of anyone. The list could go on and on. But that does not exists in real life! The question
is, do we nurture the dream of an ideal church, or are we the members of a church of our dreams? Stretching a little bit further, are we the kind of disciples the Lord wants us to be?
 
Our intention in authoring this book is that we may become the disciples God wants us to be, i.e., men and women who make His heart rejoice.
